"In the seventies the chauffeur of Miss Fourcroy had to
pick-up the car in the garage Guy Trigaut, it was the garage of the AC importer.
The chauffeur normally drove a Peugeot 404 and when he started out of the garage
with full gas he couldn’t stop the car. It was a small one way street with cars
parked on both sides of the road, so the Frua knocked badly plus minus 9 cars
and finished on the wall of a café. It was Rue
Vanderkindere in Brussel.
The poor chauffeur explained, that the gas
pedal was blocked. So the car went back to the garage. In fact the nose and
the chassis were in bad condition. After this incident began a discussion with
the garage manager, and the Fourcroy family sent an expert for all the damage
caused, also in the street.
When the expert of the insurance company came,
the car was parked in front of a wall in the garage. The expert of the insurance
said: “Finally, what was happening with the car?” He turned the key, the car
started, and again the car finished against the wall.
After that the car
had to stay for years in the garage. No decision was taken, the garage has never
been paid, and parts had been stolen from the car, so the motor. In fact, the
garage owner had probably sold some pieces of the car to pay his bill, so the
engine.
That is also the reason why in your listing you say that the car
had been transformed in a cobra replica."
